Independent record label 'Milky Bomb' presents a night of music at the Portland Arms in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The line-up includes 'jazz-grunge' group Thirteen, psychedelic cuban-blues flower child Sol Ruiz and one-off support from Sunday Driver.

Opening the evening will be new collaboration Miba and the Cinematic Kiss.

This will be a night of unique, real music and a chance to hear the music of tomorrow.

Doors open at 7.30 and music will start at 8.00.

Music in the Vale proudly presents internationally acclaimed composer and pianist Lionel Sainsbury in a richly varied evening of piano music. The programme will include music by Chopin, Schumann’s thrilling Fantasy op.17, and the World Premiere of Lionel’s eagerly awaited Five Tangos. The Oxford Times has recognised Lionel as a “virtuoso pianist and composer”.

Geoff Higginbottom will be breaking the rules by being the second guest performer in a row at the Oxford Folk Club (usually they alternate between guest performers and open nights). But with a personality and voice big enough to handle it, this will be a night to remember.
