It's been a very good year for The Runners.
The
Hertford band have played a live session on Steve LeMaq's Radio One
show and recently won the NME Red Stripe Music Award competition, which
got them a place at London’s Lovebox festival on 22 July, where they
will appear alongside The Blood Arm, The Maccabees, The Pigeon
Detectives and Mumm-ra on the Barfly stage.
Then, this week (16 July 2007) they released their debut single 'Get In Line'.
Described
as being "Like ... The Kooks without the stage school", they seem to be
going from strength to strength. And to add to that - they are jolly
nice chaps!
A nitro fuelled party band with a story
to tell and big stage presence. Expect something special from this
choppy pop indie act.
