JADE RHIANNON

A singer/songwriter from Cambridge whose music has been inspired by Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, Gillian Welch and Billie Holiday. She started out singing in various collaborations before picking up the guitar. This new path has led to gigs all over the UK as well as dates in Australia and New Zealand, including Cambridge Folk Festival, The Mean Fiddler, Strawberry Fair, Small World Festival and Ely Folk Festival, having won the Ely folk festival competition in 2007.

WHITE WINOS

An established group of local musicians with an impressive repertoire of melodic, original material in the same genre as Karine Polwart, Boo Hewerdine and Richard Thompson. Lead singer and writer, Karen, also covers a range of beautiful songs by contemporary artists such as Eddie Reader, Loudon Wainwright III and Katie Melua. Bassist, Fil, is a founder member of Lightning Jack. Drummer, Ian, has recently recorded with The Peter Green Band (Fleetwood Mac). Guitarist, John, is a pupil of Clive Carroll, all of which certainly shines through.

CLARE CONNOLLY

Clare Connolly is an Irish singer/songwriter. Her music is folk and blues based, with a hint of the storyteller in her songs. She now lives in Cambridge.

Redhouse Radio: Redhouse, originally a duo, have grown to Redhouse Radio, a band! So large we've had to extend our stage! With vocals, fiddle, bass, accordion and guitars, they promise a set to die for. Their original songs, blended with traditional and roots/soul gems, will have you on your knees and on your feet.

Hector's Heroes are Tom Ling, Brian Cleary and Jon Ward. Tom Brian and Jon are no strangers to the Cambridge folk scene, having played in a number of bands and other combinations over the years. Hector's Heroes features Tom's strong and expressive fiddle playing, accompanied by Brian on bouzouki and Jon on guitar. They play a selection of traditional and original tunes, many reflecting Tom's Scottish roots, with novel arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs thrown in for good measure!
