The Spin Jazz Club is one of the finest and most atmospheric jazz clubs in the UK. It was set up by Oxford musicians, Pete Oxley, Mark Doffman and Raf Mizraki in 1999; now in its second decade, the club has put on over 500 gigs, has twice won the Performing Rights Society Awards (2001/2002) and been shortlisted four times in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards as one of the top three jazz clubs in Britain (2006–2009). The atmosphere is fashionably grungy, relaxed and welcoming, and the music hip and happening.
