    The first of two one-hour lectures given by the pianist Alan Rowlands, who made pioneering recordings of all of John Ireland's piano music, in which he shares personal recollections of the composer. The lectures were first given as the Crees Lectures at the Royal College of Music. Tea and cake will be available in the café after the illustrated talk. The second lecture will be before the concert on Friday 25 July.
