Since then Trinity has flourished and grown, and is now a home to around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 160 Fellows. Trinity exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research. Princes, spies, poets and prime-ministers have all been taught here, and members of the College go on to a very wide range of professions and careers after taking degrees in all the subjects the University offers. College life is lively and diverse, with students coming here from all over the world as well as from all kinds of different schools in the United Kingdom.
Services in the College Chapel are open to all. It is also used by members of the College for musical and other performances.
acoustic charities choirs Choral Church music classical classical clubs and societies community events gigs - acoustic organ spiritual venue workshops Thu, 03 Jul 2008 11:15:20 +0000 Corinna Moving Tone 820 at http://movingtone.com St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden http://movingtone.com/directory/st-marys-church-saffron-walden
The Parish church of Saint Mary the Virgin is the largest in Essex, with an overall length of 183 feet, whilst the height of the tower and spire is 193 feet.
The East Saxons who gave their name to Essex were pagan, but after St.Cedd led their conversion to Christianity in the 7th century there was in all probability a Saxon wooden church here, The massive Norman stone church that was known to exist in 1130 was rebuilt and enlarged in the early form of the 'Decorated' period between 1250 and 1258.

A general rebuilding in the 'Perpendicular' style was begun in about 1450 and the present church takes a high place, from an architectural point of view, among the parish churches of England. The spire, however, is more modern, for it was built, and the upper part of the tower was renewed, in 1832, to the design of Messrs. Rickman and Hutchinson.

The church now hosts music events, fairs and other activities throughout the year providing a thriving centre for the community.

charities choirs Church music classical classical clubs and societies community events gigs - acoustic gospel spiritual venue workshops Thu, 03 Jul 2008 10:24:34 +0000 Corinna Moving Tone 818 at http://movingtone.com St Luke's Church http://movingtone.com/directory/st-lukes-church
St Luke's Church Community Centre is just that, a Church which is used for worship jointly by Anglicans and the United Reformed Church.
