Expect saxophonic fireworks from one of the great, and without doubt, one of the most recorded of British saxophonists. Snake has always managed to combine technical flair with r’n’b passion and stands comparison with the great soul/jazz artists such as David Sanborn, Grover Washington and Wilton Felder (The Jazz Crusaders). His blues inflected sound has earned him those high profile gigs with the likes of Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Soul II Soul, Chaka Khan and of course Motorhead. You will have also heard him on recordings with Cher, M People and Paul McCartney and if you like going to the cinema, you may well have heard his playing on scores of scores eg Sting, Richard Niles, Dave Stewart etc etc.

From North London the acclaimed Eric Ranzoni brings his Trio to Marigolds for the first time. Renowned on the London Blues scene, including a residency at Boisdales in Belgravia, for his tremendous piano playing Eric’s musical talents are second to none

Since coming back to London in 2003, he’s gained a reputation as a skilled and versatile pianist, “equipped” with a warm singing voice. Solo or accompanied by excellent musicians, he’s played the Blues (and Roots music in general) in many top venues in London and about, with frequent stints abroad. In great demand as Blues pianist with several London-based bands, a recent highlight was playing the piano in the UK tour of Mud Morganfield, the eldest son of Muddy Waters, along with Big Joe Louis and West Weston.

An Alt Folk band who create a beautiful sound that intricately weaves traditional and modern roots music within well-crafted songs. Based in Cambridge the band formed in the summer 2010 and bring together members of The Winter kings, Jade Rhiannon and The Black Flowers. They have been playing many a gig since, as well as supporting top folk acts such as Lau, and are rapidly building up an ever enthusiastic fan base along the way.

Back at Marigolds by very popular demand after fabulous gigs in earlier years, the Untouchables describe themselves as playing Chicago Blues from the Lea Valley Delta. They draw on the music of the Chess Records era with all the obvious influences of jazz, folk, R&B and gospel that was so evident of that time.

The band aims to recreate their version of the blues of 1950s Chicago and turn in a stonking set which is guaranteed to shake any audience out and have them rocking in the aisles!
