Cambridge-based rock quartet Dead Letter Society's debut album, Ideas And Diagrams, is a remarkably polished work of sophisticated, intricate rock. Excellent production brings the best out of skilled playing and original songwriting. The numbers are thoughtful, but full of controlled energy. High quality is maintained throughout the ten tracks. The overall sound suggests comparison with both REM and U2.
Dead Letter Society are Matt Smart (vocals and piano), Chris Moyser (guitars), Rob Moyser (bass), Paul Fortunato (drums and vocals).
