Artist Visiting Cambridgeshire
On Sunday, 10 December Moving Tone Sessions plays host to the COMA London Ensemble. The CLE performance will include a selection of flexibly scored works from Open Score, COMA's current programme, established to create a high quality repertoire suitable for performance by music ensembles.

Launched in October 2003, Open Score comprises an annual call for pieces, collaborations with post graduate composition students, and commissions. Of this evening's works, the Pinnock and Venables are a result of COMA London's successful partnership with the Royal Academy of Music; the Nyman was commissioned and the new work by COMA member Howard Jones arose from a call for pieces on the theme of ‘Spaces and Places'. The performance will be conducted by Gregory Rose .

The evening's programme will include: Michael Nyman In C Interlude; Philip Venables Dutch Courage; Naomi Pinnock Four Humours; Howard Jones The Illusion of Progress. Starting off the evening, the Moving Tone Musicians will perform original instrumental compositions and songs, using acoustic instruments, soundscapes, percussion and voice.
