Event details: Easter at King's, now in its fifth year, is a week of concerts and services in King's College Chapel specially selected by Stephen Cleobury as suitable for the Christian season of Holy Week and Easter.

Sat 4 and Sun 5: Handel - Messiah
The two performances of Messiah, probably the most popular choral work there is, are performed by the renowned Academy of Ancient Music, with King's Director of Music Stephen Cleobury conducting.

Tues 7: amarcord - Renaissance Music
The "musical miracle from Leipzig, the German King's Singers", give their first ever concert in King's, performing music for Holy Week from the Renaissance, including works by Josquin, Pierre de la Rue, and a newly discovered anonymous setting of the Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah

Weds 8: Bach - St John Passion
The King's Choir's annual performance of one of the Bach Passions. Christopher Gillett, an ex King's Choir member, sings the part of the Evangelist in St John Passion, with the orchestra of the Academy of Ancient Music.

Thurs 9: Maggini Quartet plays Peter Maxwell Davies 7th Naxos Quartet
Intense and brooding seven movements, often linked to Haydn's Seven Last Words

Fri 10: BBC Singers perform Landowski, Poulenc, Bingham
The concert has music by French composers and the world première of a new work by Judith Bingham. Landowski's Leçons des Ténèbres and Poulenc's Penitential Motets powerfully portray the emotions of Christ's Passion. The event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3

Sat 11: Haydn - Te Deum, Salve Regina, Trumpet Concerto, Grosse Orgelsolomesse
A programme of some of Haydn's lesser known choral and orchestral works, including the dazzling Trumpet Concerto, with David Blackadder as soloist.
