Shindig returns this Saturday. This time it's at CB1 on Mill Road. There will be three bands (don't know if the body parts theme was intentional) and poetry from compere Patrick Widdess. There will also be open mic show and tell. Bring an object and talk about it.
It starts earlier than usual at 5pm. Details below and at : https://www.facebook.com/events/131595143672947/?ref=ts&fref=ts
An evening of ramshackle indie, lo-fi and experimental pop from amateur enthusiast collective SHINDIG. Come join us at Cambridge's most bohemian cafe-garden for music, visual art, and an average-to-fair cocktail of audio-visceral stimuli. It may even be sunny. But we promise nothing.
Our art-pop auteurs aiming to soundtrack these twilight frolics are as follows...
-----
// Hour Hands - http:// hourhands.bandcamp.com/
Versatile Brighton indie-pop vandals, bringing with them a tidal wave of 90's & 00's underground influence.
-----
// Slushy Guts - http://slushyguts.bandcamp.com/
Fuzzy-tuned and self reflective, Slushy Guts create awkward yet strangely alluring folk tinged experimental pop. From London.
-----
// Mouth - https://soundcloud.com/mouthcare/
ARU student and Faux Foxes start-up, Theresa Elflein's newly founded project blending acoustics, electronics, and all kinds of other wizardry.

*Guest list includes any attendees of art-based workshops and talks on the day, which so far includes The Map Project workshop at Cambridge Art Salon, St Barnabas Press' 20th anniversary talks.
