Musicians, singers and song writers join together this Saturday to raise money for Christian Aid.
The concert features gospel, folk-rock and blues by Pat Brandon, Ray Galvin, Norman Setchell and Jo Blakeman. It starts at 6pm at Castle Street Methodist Church and is followed by a finger-food supper.
Ray Galvin says: "We'll be performing our newest songs, many of which were written over this last winter (it was a long winter so we wrote a lot!), plus some from our CDs. Some of the songs are themed to suit the occasion - the aim of alleviating poverty and fostering social justice - others touch on on themes of everyday life and love; and others are Gospel songs. Norman, Pat and I first crossed paths some 35 years ago and this will be the first time we've all performed our works together. Joanna will be supporting some of the songs on cello and also performing a couple of solos."
Entry is by donation to Christian Aid.
