Pianist Stan Tracey will be performing a special concert for the Cambridge Modern Jazz Club this July.
Tracey, one of the most distinguished players in the history of British jazz, will be performing a tribute to the music of another giant of jazz piano, Thelonius Monk. Tracey will be accompanied by his frequent collaborator, the distinguished saxophonist Bobby Wellins, as well as Stan's son Clerk Tracey (drums) and Andy Cleyndert (double bass).
The concert will take place in the ADC Theatre, Cambridge, on Wednesday 25 July, at 8pm. Tickets cost £16 (£14 concessions, £10 students).
On Friday 20 July, guests at the regular monthly meeting of CMJC at The Hidden Rooms on Jesus Lane will be Josh Kemp's Jazz Prophets.
