The basement of CB2 offers a cosy night of music and spoken word on 11th December featuring C.J Boyd and Andy Buclaw, Tom Adams and Patrick Widdess.
C.J. Boyd - http://cjboyd.bandcamp.com/ A bassist without a fixed abode. Born in California and having resided in cities around the US and Europe, C.J. and his music are always moving. Since March of 2008, he has been on a perpetual tour throughout North America and Europe, playing on average 5 nights a week, spending no more than a week or two in one town. While on his native soil he travels by way of the Jambulace, a repurposed ambulance that has been converted to run on vegetable oil. What may seem to some as homelessness might also be called the subtle art of being always at home, regardless of location. Music is, after all, a home without place.
Tom Adams - http://tomamusic.bandcamp.com/ A multi instrumentalist composer, producer and songwriter, Tom is based in Cambridge. He also performs and releases music as Toma, The Mountaineering Club Orchestra and Hollow Mountains and regularly plays live in the UK and occasionally in Europe.
Tom will be performing with MT's Patrick Widdess mixing surreal poetry and improvised electronic music. More info here.
