The highly-acclaimed acoustic music group Acoustic Triangle have just released a new album to coincide with their latest tour.
An album of virtuosic, unamplified music - all original works composed by musicians Tim Garland and Gwilym Simcock – 3 Dimensions celebrates the common ground between improvised jazz and contemporary classical traditions.
Acoustic Triangle, a hit at last year's Cambridge Summer Music Festival, have been described by The Guardian as 'Adventurous, eclectic, frequently breathtaking… undisputed masters of the game.' Musicians featured on the album are:
Malcolm Creese - double bass
Tim Garland - saxophones, bass clarinet, flute
Gwilym Simcock - piano, french horn
Ben Hancox, Hannah Dawson, Charlotte Scott & Emma Parker - violins
Robin Ashwell - viola
Cara Berridge - cello
3 Dimensions contains music specially written for Acoustic Triangle's current national tour Inspiring Spaces (which included a recent date at St Edmundsbury Cathedral). For more information on the tour, go here.
