Brilliant eccentric acoustic trio Sleeping Dogz will be the first headline act in a new season at Hitchin Folk Club, on Sunday 7 September.

Sleeping Dogz - Wild Willy Barrett, Mary Holland and John Devine - have recorded two excellent albums - Gypsies Too and The Drum With No Ears - and have become known to many for their seven years of being the closing act in the Club Tent on the final night of Cambridge Folk Festival. Sadly, they will be absent from Cambridge this year, so Sunday 7 September will be your next opportunity to see them in the vicinity. Support will be provided by singer Christene LeDoux.

Later in September the Club will feature Megson and Mawkin/Causley (14^th) Nancy Kerr and James Fagan (21^st), Karine Polwart, Corinna Hewat and Annie Grace (28^th).
