Folk in full swing

The Cambridge Folk Festival is in full swing. Revellers in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall have been enjoying the diverse range of high quality music, climaxing on Friday with very well-received sets on Stage One by The Peatbog Faeries, Billy Bragg and The Levellers.

The weather so far was aptly described by Billy Bragg as ‘Andy Warhol weather: fifteen minutes of this, fifteen minutes of that'.

A new initiative this year has been the bar staff giving out quality plastic glasses - with ‘cool as folk' written on them - for a £2 deposit, for punters to keep throughout the Festival, thereby cutting down greatly on waste of plastic.

The Festival continues until Sunday evening. Moving Tone is present in force, and will be bringing you reviews and interviews shortly.
