The Oxford Jazz Festival returns to the city over Easter! With fringe performances taking place all over the city in the evenings from 1st - 5th, the festival explodes with an exciting, international, jam-packed line-up of events all day and night on the 6th and 7th, with performances in an assortment of Oxford's finest venues.
Last year the Festival celebrated British Jazz. This year, it is bringing you a mixed line-up, with the evening headline acts all being international artists, providing different grooves from around the world. On Saturday, US artist Michael Janisch with the New York Standards Quartet will be playing at the Oxford Playhouse. On Friday, you can hear the sweet, sweet sounds of New Orleans Trumpeter Abram Wilson performing at the Randolph Hotel Ballroom, which if you were at Norma Winstone last year, you’d know is a fantastic venue for jazz. On Thursday night you can enjoy the versatile spectrum of Swedish jazz artist Cecilia Stalin at the Ashmolean Dining Room, which is usually the first to sell out, so hurry!
