A beautiful singing voice can mesmerise us, opening an acoustical door to new worlds. This week's Bluetone will do just that when you listen to one of the world's greatest choirs, the Latvian Radio Choir, singing modern arrangements of traditional songs such as Riga Dimd and Sen to Rigu Daudzinaja; Poulenc's Gloria sung by Cambridge's own Polyphony with the Britten Sinfonia conducted by Stephen Layton, and the outstanding vocal ensemble I Fagiolini, performing Bede's Death Song, a contemporary work composed by Sean Rourke.
