Event details: In the 16th century a performer's expertise could be measured by his ability to improvise on a popular song of the day. The tradition is revived by Philip Thorby and friends, who will perform variations old and new on madrigals, chansons and motets by Renaissance masters including Willaert, Rore and Lassus.
