Event details:
The sounds of the southern states of America come to Hadstock on Saturday 31 May when one of Britain's top bluegrass bands, Monroe's Revenge, come to play. Named after Bill Monroe, who defined the sound of the music back in the 1940s with his band the Blue Grass Boys, Monroe's Revenge have been entertaining British audiences up and down the country for more than two decades. With songs about the good and bad, glad and sad times, peppered with hard-driving banjo, fiddle and mandolin playing, this should be a night out to remember. Food is served at the pub until 8.30pm (book early: 01223 890990)
