Event details:
Longview have long been noted for their refusal to conform to a scene, preferring to value their integrity above the fool’s gold rewards of selling out. In this consumerist society, the sell-out has never been so easy; slip the marketing machine into overdrive, shelve your morals and learn to acquiesce, and it’s all too possible to trade your soul for fifteen minutes of fame.
But Longview are no band-wagon buccaneers. Rather, they are songsmiths of the traditional kind, motivated not by commercial gain and notoriety but by the deep-seated need to connect with people. Having earned a reputation for the kind of soaring, stirring music that puts light in your soul and hope in your heart, they have spent the past few years assessing the landscape and defining their aspirations, since the release of critically acclaimed debut album Mercury.
