Our performance on 7th November will immerse concert-goers in musical representations of space travel, portraying both real-life events and fictional journeys. Appropriately for the time of year, we also explore musical depictions of fire, and fire-associated creatures and technologies.

If you attended our concert in March, you might remember Nigel Clarke’s dramatic and exciting piece Samurai. We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be playing Gagarin, another of Nigel Clarke’s works, which describes the experiences of Yuri Gagarin, cosmonaut of the first manned spacecraft. The composer will be introducing the performance in person.
