LAYDIE LOUTHIANS LILTE perfromed by Pantagruel

Worldly music played in early 17th century Jacobean Scotland: Scots dances and songs; lute songs by John Dowland, Robert Johnson, Robert Jones, Thomas Ford; English Broadside ballads; an amazingly beautiful lament of distant Irish origin, Yee Gods of Love; the epic song Venus and Adonis, with excerpts from Shakespeare's poem.
