Free pre-concert talk with Paul Lewis 7pm
In a double-bill of Richard Strauss and Mozart, the strings of Britten Sinfonia show off their legendary versatility - revelling in late-Romantic luscious sonority but also displaying crystal clarity in accompanying two Mozart piano concertos. Multi-award-winning pianist Paul Lewis, protégé of Alfred Brendel, performs the engaging Piano Concerto No. 12 in A, followed by Mozart's final piano concerto with its famous ethereal slow movement.
