Learn to play the guitar this autumn term with adults only courses in Cambridge! Have fun strumming, fingerpicking and reading music with the group. There's a Beginners Guitar Course and a separate Improvers Guitar Course. You need a nylon string or steel string acoustic guitar. Classes start on Thursday 22nd September 2011 with weekly sessions. Well, music and food are inextricably linked at The Green Man, Rackheath, out on the Wroxham Road, about 10 minutes' drive out of the city centre.Music comes in the form of the top-class jazz to be heard at the pub on Tuesday evenings. Older readers will undoubtedly recognise the figure of drumming legend Jack Parnell, who makes the journey from his home at Southwold each week to anchor the resident trio - although he recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Pianist Mike Capocci, along with bass player Mike Harris, completes the trio; Mike's wife, Barbara, runs the club with an efficient hand, and these sessions are a well-established part of the Norwich musical scene. Tuesday 15th July saxophonist Dean Masser appears with the Mike Capocci Trio. Free admission. Info on 01603 782693. | ||

Well Just Jazz is hosting an interactive social gathering to celebrate a great year of Just Jazz at La Raza and what better way to this, than to have a open Jam Session. All afro/jazz, latin/jazz, funk and soul lovers are welcome from pro's to armatures. Come join in the fun and play, sing, dance or just listen.
