Veronica Henderson studied music at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, and then specialised in the cello at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Solo work has taken her to Switzerland and Belgium, particularly with the choir, Cambridge Voices, with whom she gave the first performances of Carl Rütti's "Lieder der Liebe" in 1994. She was invited to perform this work again in Switzerland in 2005 as part of a prestigious award-giving ceremony for the composer's lifetime achievements, and in Cambridge, in May 2007, when it was a central feature of a Festival of Music in Concert & Liturgy at the Church of Our Lady & the English Martyrs.
In recent years she has performed the complete Bach Gamba Sonatas with the pianist, Ian de Massini, and she has presented programmes of Eastern European music at Hughes Hall and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. Locally she plays with her chamber ensemble, Cerberus, and performed most recently in Cambridge for the Szeged Society with Jill Morton (piano). She returns to her native Scotland regularly to work with the pianist, Katharine Durran.
