A stage crammed with percussion instruments from around the world, an auditorium buzzing with excitement and over 100 of the most talented young percussionists from across Cambridgeshire and the Eastern Region. The stage is set for a spectacular and exciting evening of percussion playing.
Following last year’s award winning Striking Together for Bronze, the Striking Together formula develops further to include students from across the Eastern Region.
Students, teachers, community groups and professional performers combine to perform thrilling new arrangements including Striking Together for Silver – a ground-breaking new piece by Mark Aldous commissioned for a 100 piece percussion orchestra including samba and steel pan groups from our local community.
The performers are drawn from a wide spectrum of ability and have been working tirelessly in the run up to this concert to provide a memorable, emotional and engaging performance. Stunning Professional duo
Maraca2 will be performing alongside the students bringing their own expertise and energetic Marimba melodies.
Come and be inspired by talented students, community musicians and professional performers immersed in the fascinating and varied world of percussion.
